Mobile Data Issues
If you can make calls and texts but your mobile data isn't working, try these steps:
  1. Toggle Flight Mode: Turn flight mode on and off.
  2. Restart Your Phone: Turn your phone off for 30 seconds, then turn it back on.
  3. Reset APN Settings:
    iPhone:
    Settings → Mobile/Cellular → Mobile Data Network → Reset Settings
    Android:
    Settings → Connections → Mobile Networks → Access Point Names → Three dots → Reset to default

Manual APN Settings
If needed, you can manually configure your APN settings:
Mobile Data APN
  • Username: leave blank
  • Password: leave blank
  • APN: internet or radiostar (for roamers)
MMS APN

Username: leave blank

  • Password: leave blank
  • APN: mms
  • MMSC: http://mms.2degreesmobile.net.nz:48090
  • MMS proxy: 118.148.1.118:8080
  • MMS max message size: leave as default
  • MMS UA Prof URL: leave blank

SIM Card Issues
If your new SIM card isn't working, try these steps:
  1. Toggle Flight Mode: Turn flight mode on and off.
  2. Restart Your Phone: Turn your phone off for 30 seconds, then turn it back on.
  3. Check SIM Insertion: Ensure the SIM card is inserted correctly, with the corner of the SIM card lining up with the one in your SIM slot.
  4. Network Selection:
    iPhone:
    Settings → Mobile → Network Selection → Toggle Automatic to On
    Android:
    Settings → Connections → Mobile Networks → Network Operators → Toggle Automatically select network to On

Text Message Issues
If you're not receiving texts from banks or other services (short code or premium SMS messages), this may be due to sender systems needing updates:
  • Senders need to update their systems to recognize your number on the new network
  • This process can take a few days to complete
For iPhone users, this may also impact iMessage and FaceTime until the update is complete.
